COVID-19 - Caring for our clients, our staff and the community.
The Ferntree Gully Motor Group of Vehicle Dealerships which comprises the Nissan, VW, Holden, HSV, Suzuki, Isuzu Ute and LDV brands, would like to update our customers on the evolving information surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the manner in which we will be addressing this ever-changing situation today and in the weeks ahead.
We take our responsibilities for the health and safety of our employees, their families, our clients and of course the broader community very seriously. To this end we are actively digesting all available government and expert information as it becomes available and implementing whatever the best practice is at that time through new policies, procedures and working plans.
General Hygiene and Cleanliness
Targeted hygiene practices can go a long way to help keeping everyone safe. We have cleaners coming in multiple times a day now to give extra attention to high traffic areas. This includes door handles, counters, reception and waiting areas, chairs and tables, EFTPOS machines, phones and all other common areas. Hand sanitizer will be on display at all customer information points and is readily available for all to use.
We are closely following all government guidelines and are recommending employees to stay home from work if they have been in contact with a confirmed case and are showing any sign of fever or respiratory illness. Any of our staff who find themselves in this situation will be provided with all necessary information and support available to us.
Our Sales Department
In the online world we find ourselves in today the process of buying a car has never been so easy for customers. Almost everything can be done remotely apart from test drives and deliveries … and when it comes to that, we can come to you! If you do come and visit us in person however, rest assured that you will be safe and clean as we continue to follow all best practice guidelines.
Our Service and Parts Departments
Industry best practice for hygiene is being followed by our Service Advisors and Technicians when dealing with your vehicle. This includes fully disinfecting door handles, steering wheel, radio and other control buttons, seat belts and any other relevant surfaces. Gloves will be worn whenever it is practical to do so, and hands will be constantly washed and sanitised.
We offer a host of driveway pick up and drop off options and are happy to discuss any needs you might have in these tricky times. For the aged and sick we can arrange to come to you, and for those that are at our service and parts counters, we have instituted both surface disinfectant procedures (pens etc.) and social distancing procedures to protect us all.
Business as Usual … well almost 😊
Obviously the longer we can keep the doors open and operating the better it is for our staff, our clients and of course the business itself which we all rely on. It is certainly not clear what the landscape will look like in the coming weeks however it is our intention to do everything we can to maintain a ‘Business as Usual’ approach for as long as we are able.
We will continue to monitor the relevant health authorities and will keep you informed of any and all changes as they occur. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions.
Yours sincerely,
Craig Pearce
